...and The Show goes on! KNOXVILLE FASHION WEEK 2014

Had a great time networking and meeting new people at Knoxville Fashion Week. I will always enjoy going to new places and experiencing new things in life. This was a opportunity given to me by the gracious Danielle Miller of Royal Peasantry.

 I'm just looking to blend into a scene and then along the way meet some very interesting folks. It's good to understand we are all one when I look at someone and then I slightly become them ...I take a piece of every person I know and mold that into myself. Yes, everyone! It makes me see myself aka you they way we want to be seen. 

  So Knoxville can't wait to come back and work with you again! If we meet there in Knoxville it was a pleasure to meet you!

Why?!?!...

“Kimberly ... Seriously questioning why right now. You had the world at your fingertips. Everywhere you went you were center stage with Brightest spotlight! You shined! But now your light is dimmed completely. No, I will not understand this one at all. ”

I vividly remember the first time I saw you.  You floated on the sidewalk and sat at the window of the LaB downtown. I loved your style and of course wanted to say hello and take a picture. You immediately said ,"No one takes my photo but Josh Kogan." I was immediately like .'Who is Josh Kogan!?' and it made me smile. I said well thank you and was turning away then you said,"Ok. just one photo." Snap! You loved it :) We became INSTANT friends!

You my dear were charming, Virginia Southern! and very kind to me. That is the formula for a beautiful connection. I wish this were a terrible prank or plea for help and you are still out there...but alas, this is not to be.  

 I'm not sure the gentleman known as Josh ever took her photo. Trust me I googled him. So when she said I would like for you to shoot me. I was super excited! You said whatever for art and you wanted to help me grow! That was a gift I so appreciated. Coming out to the farm in Va was so nice to meet your family. Good People! I saw you relax more so there on the farm. It was good to see. You were always making sure everyone was good. It was good to see. I also saw more of you there. The pictures I took were more in depth of what you wanted to show. This picture is  called the jumper in my head. I never called it that in writing anywhere, but I saw something and knew it was a lovely photo. So I clicked. Still will be one of my favorites of you~

I looked more into your being there on The Farm. Strange looking back at these now. I see what you were telling me. I tired I tired I tired Kimberly. People tell you that you can't save some people. I will not believe that. Ever. You my dear were a beautiful heartbreaking lost Goddess on this planet.

That's why I put you in the clouds. I always go with a feeling that I have heard your story and this is what the picture will be when I was editing your photos. It is what I saw. I never choose to see any of the things I see but I see it in ALOT of people. There is more than just my camera that I see with. I will always say I see better without my camera. I saw who you were...

Thank you for being a Hoot and Holler! You showed me a side that not many people saw. Pure Sillyness! We did a ton of laughing! It was the Best medicine I could ever give anyone~ 

and a lot of your moments I am glad I was able to see and catch out of no where.

Thank you for every laugh :)

Fallen Returned

Waverly Jones Ladies and Gentlemen. I Listen to people and show them who they are. This is #2 of a ongoing series. 

“This all just came together and worked perfectly. This is what I like to do with nervous energy. It manifests into something I can see. To force my art is to not understand me. ”

Timing.

To understand what we are all trying to say without saying it and seeing it is a skill I have developed without knowing. I only understood it more the more I saw how all people react to certain obstacles as you call them. I call them tests. Being Ready Relaxed and Confident in yourself are keys to being what you will yourself to see in the mirror. 

 Timing is crucial to making it happen whenever. You can't blame others for your own faults. Some strive to be better at any moment and others choose to fall apart. If timing meant for anything it be...It will be.

I love to laugh. Period. This is also a health tip* The other day while going through videos looking for something to listen to while editing. I found the clip above. It made me smile, but the beat in the background is what captured my attention. IT was bass and different! I have been listening to House, Ambient, Trance, Jungle, Break Beats and Dubstep for a long time now. It's the party in my head, It needs music!!! SO I was on a mission!

   Searching through the hate comments(for NO reason) and the off subject matter of Lord knows what sometimes. I found the song!

So let's begin not knowing where we will end. So as the universe had it. A friend of mine called me up out of the blue to ask if I would go shoot with him on a video shoot. Once he told me the spot, (A place I have dreamed of shooting for years!!!), I was in! So happy to be a town when you want to be creative and have the time, IT WILL HAPPEN! So we gathered a team of Talented folks and begin...

Andrew Anderson was directing this video, So I knew I was in good hands. We have worked together on other project and I know what he needs to make visual excellence here in Asheville. We work well together! LOVE people like Andrew. Understands WHATEVER happens, do it! We all go through certain tests in life over and over. When you love what you do or have pride in it...Alchemy.

 So thankful for the people that work hard on a set and make sure everything will be in it's place. Such a powerful team of Pros!  The machine runs so well with this crew... I could go on,but you get me :)

This year is all about new for me. Whatever makes me feel i'm outside of my normal thinking. No more Bubble Gum as I like to call it. The first few projects I have in mind I have never done and I look onto each new experience with open eyes.  Winter time allows me to be inside my head way more to see what I forgot and what has never been thought of. 

I am a photographer in Asheville NC. I will be definitely coming to Charlotte, Atlanta, Charleston and Good Ol' New York to further my portfolio.
