Discover the Art of Lines at Boomtown Festival: Micah Mackenzie's Photography Showcase at PennyCup Coffee House
Asheville is a city that thrives on art, creativity, and community—and I’m honored to contribute to that energy during this year's Boomtown Festival. Tomorrow, I’ll be showing a collection of my photography at PennyCup Coffee House, a cozy hub where I’ll be sharing some of my most cherished works from around the world. Each photograph tells a unique story, all connected by one fundamental element: the lines we see in everyday life.
For me, photography is more than capturing moments—it’s about discovering the geometry, patterns, and textures that often go unnoticed. Whether it's the sleek silhouette of an urban skyline, the rugged contours of a mountain range, or the delicate folds of nature, lines are what unite my work. They guide the viewer's eyes, shaping how we interpret the scene and, ultimately, how we connect with the world.
In keeping with my efforts to reduce environmental impact, most of the collection will be available online for viewing and purchase. I’ll be showcasing a few select prints at the event to give you a sense of the work, but you can browse the entire gallery and order prints directly through your phone. This allows you to enjoy the art while helping to minimize waste.
